Southwestern Colorado, commonly called Mesa Verde Country (http://www.mesaverdecount...), is a region of the state of Colorado in the United States of America that is known for beautiful landscapes, rich history, cultural heritage, and an abundance of outdoor activities. It is also home to the West Elks American Viticultural Area AVA, part of Colorado's Wine Country and home to the highest wine vineyards in North America.
